The Legend of Korra, a sequel to the highly successful Nickelodeon show “Avatar: The Last Airbender”, will focus on the new avatar, Korra. Korra is a determined, independent teenage waterbender from the Southern water tribe who travels to Republic City, a city populated with members from all four nations which she discovers is plagued with crime and an “anti-bender” revolt. Her journey to master airbending begins as she is trained by Tenzin, Avatar Aang’s son.
Season 1 , Episode 1 – “Welcome to Republic City”
Korra leaves the safety of her home and travels to bustling Republic City to begin her airbending training. Once there, she is shocked to find a big city full of dangers, including criminal bending gangs and a vocal anti-bending revolution.
Season 1 , Episode 2 – “A Leaf in the Wind”
Korra is living with her airbending teacher Tenzin on Air Temple Island. Frustrated with her inability to master airbending, she turns her attentions to Republic City’s famous Pro-bending Arena. There she befriends two brothers, Mako and Bolin, who compete in professional bending matches. Korra is immediately drawn to Pro-bending’s dynamic fighting style.
